Hello Reception!

My name is Elmer. I am a multi-coloured elephant and I live in the jungle with my friends. I play tricks on my friends and try to make them laugh. I wanted to be the same as the other elephants so I rolled in the grey berries and turned myself grey. Then everything changed, everybody was sad. I realised that I like being different. I like being special. I like being me. 

I have heard that you are all brilliant at learning and exploring new things, so I have sent you some activities to explore our Reception Jungle project. Maybe you could create some jungle animals of your own? Or use them to write your own sentences? Can you make an elephant like me?

Perhaps you could write me a letter about what you find out about going to the jungle. You could send me some photos and pictures too!

I hope you have fun learning all about the jungle and all about my animal friends.
