Cookery Club

Cookery club is a fun and informal group held after school until 4.30pm for Year 2 children. Each half term, six children attend weekly for five weeks.

The club has been supported by a network of cookery clubs called 'Let's get cooking' and funding has been received for cookery equipment and running costs. Parents are asked for a contribution which goes towards the cost of the ingredients.

The aim is to prepare, cook and eat healthy foods, to gain a basic hygiene awareness and enjoy the social time eating together as a group. The children are involved fully in the club, helping prepare food, following recipes and washing dishes. Recipes are sent home each week to encourage family cooking at home.
