Governing Body
The Governing body is responsible, together with Mrs Bass and the Senior Leadership Team, for the strategic management and leadership of the school.
Governors approve the school mission statement, policies and practices of the school and contribute to the constant drive to further improve standards and to meet the needs of all pupils attending the school. The governors are involved in The School Development Plan and are aware of the school’s priorities for each academic year. They also approve the school budget and ensure all curriculum and legal requirements are met.
Governors attend a full Governing Body meeting three times a year and also attend termly committee meetings, which include Safeguarding, Resources and Performance meetings.
In addition, Governors carry out particular responsibilities within school and they implement Learning Walks and governor visits to carry out their monitoring roles. Governors take responsibility for school priorities as identified in The School Development Plan and write reports to share their findings and experiences.
Parents wishing to become Governors are encouraged to apply when vacancies arise and are welcome to ask any of the Governing Body for further information regarding the expectations and roles and responsibilities of a new Governor.
If any parent wishes to contact a member of the Governing Body, a letter can be left at the school office.
